The problem

The window is shrinking.

The world is getting faster. Reporters and producers are working to increasingly short deadlines. The window of opportunity to get your exec on the phone or into the studio is smaller and smaller. You don't have the luxury of a full media training session before the reporter needs their soundbites.

At the same time, your executive has a limited amount of time for media interviews. You need the moments to land the message, have the impact, and, most importantly, not go off the rails.

Your exec needs to be press-ready before the moment arrives.

The best execs keep their media training skills fresh. They sharpen their talking points and practice the toughest questions before they see the red light on the TV camera.

The Solution

Press Ready

Press Ready is a media training program for Bay Area executives. The coaching is based on 20+ years of experience media training leaders from some of the world's most successful companies, including LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Cloudflare.

One carefully structured half-day session will equip your executive with the tools to handle any media engagement, from pre-planned recorded broadcast interviews to an ad-hoc press meet-and-greet at an industry event.

How it works

One session, three phases.

01

Pre-briefing

1 hr · async or call

We'll review any existing messaging you have. Proof points, customer success stories, company milestones, important news moments coming up. This is your chance to flag tough questions you anticipate, your executive's level of experience and confidence, their personality and quirks. I use it to tailor the session to your business.

02

The session

3 hrs · in person or remote

We'll cover the fundamentals of media engagements, including preparation, setting clear objectives, and fostering long-term relationships. Then we'll run two to three live practice interviews on camera. In between, we review what worked and where to sharpen the message or delivery. The session closes with a debrief and recap of main points.

03

Follow-up

1 hr call · 6 months ad-hoc support

We debrief on how to operationalize what came out of the session. You receive a one-page reference document tailored to your spokesperson, built to be re-read in five minutes before any press engagement. For six months after the session, I'm available for ad-hoc interview prep at no additional charge.

Cadence and pricing

Annual baseline, with refreshers.

$5,500

Annual or bi-annual baseline

Most clients run this once a year. Some run it twice, to keep execs up to speed on the latest messaging, or to sharpen delivery ahead of key milestones, announcements, or after onboarding a senior hire.

$1,500–$2,500

Refresher add-ons

Booked when a specific moment is on the calendar: a major interview, an industry event, or retraining on updated messaging. Builds on the existing baseline rather than starting from scratch.

Multi-executive engagements (founding team, leadership team) are priced based on scope and number of spokespeople. Get in touch to discuss.
